A vaporizer, or more specifically, a vape, is an electronic device that turns e-liquid into an aerosol that you inhale. They are getting more and more popular due to their benefits on health. There are two main types of vape for beginners: starters kits and box mods. Starter kits contain everything you need to get started. They include a battery (or several), tanks or atomizers, chargers, and most importantly flavorings (aka e-juice). Box mods are more advanced and contain a built-in battery and an internal (or external) temperature control. As a beginner, you can’t go wrong with either type of device.
Flavorings vs. e-juice
Flavors are liquids that have an artificial, chemical-based taste factor added to them. Flavors are available in many different forms: pre-made, premixed, custom mixed and even DIY mixes. All of these types of e-juices come in different strengths (from 0 to 24mg depending on the company), and they usually contain varying amounts of nicotine (from 0mg to 24mg). There are also many different flavors to choose from, including fruits and other types of tobacco products. When you buy a box mod or starter kit, you cannot buy your own flavorings directly from the devices.
The two favorite types of vape for beginners
For the sake of comparison, let’s talk about the differences between a starter kit and a box mod. Vape pens are often referred to as disposable e-cigarettes. They come in disposable plastic or aluminum pods filled with e-juice. These aren’t as advanced as box mods or starter kits, but they do have their own place in the vaping world.
Vape pens and refillable pods
Vape pens are disposable e-cigarettes. They come in plastic or aluminum pods that contain a wick loaded with e-juice. You buy a pack of these pods (usually in 5ml, 10ml or 20ml sizes) and then you replace the wicks as needed to keep them filled with e-liquid. This type of vaporizer has a lot less functionality than a box mod or starter kit. However, they are great for beginners because they’re so simple to use. You can get started right away without having to worry about building coils or finding new batteries among other things. Vape pens are also cost-effective, and you can pick up them for around $20 or less.
Best vape for beginners: starter kits and box mods
As a beginner, you’ll need to choose between a starter kit or box mod. It all depends on what you want to do with your vaping experience. A starter kit is great if you plan on getting into vaping just for fun and don’t mind having a disposable device. If that’s the case, then you can go with a pen vape. Another reason many beginners start out with pen vapes is because they’re relatively inexpensive and they don’t leak anywhere near as much as box mods or starter kits. As far as my personal preference goes, I went with the vaporizer I had in mind first: a starter kit.
These are the most common type of vaporizer you’ll find. They come in a wide variety of different styles (from classic to advanced), and they contain everything you need to get started vaping with a box mod or starter kit. Starter kits range from $30-$100, depending on what device you decide to go with. Box mods range from $150-$300, but it usually depends on the brand of device you buy it from. Box mods are the more advanced form of vaporizer. They all contain internal battery power along with temperature control (depending on device).
Box mods are much more advanced than starter kits or pen vapes. They offer a lot more functionality, and for this reason, they’re a lot more expensive. A box mod is like a “minicomputer” for your vape. It’s got its own internal battery (or multiple), along with an internal (or external) temperature control system. You can buy different tanks that connect to the device, or you can build your own coils and attach them to it. The longer you use your box mod, the better it gets at controlling the temperature of your vaporizing experience. Box mods have much better battery life than starter kits as well as more efficient components. They’re more dependable than starter kits, and they require much less maintenance.
COSTS: starter kits vs box mods
If you’re not sure what to buy as your first vaporizer, then I suggest going with a starter kit. You really can’t go wrong with these devices. A good starter kit will give you everything you need to get started vaping right away. They’re even affordable in comparison to many box mods on the market today.
Box mods offer the same functionality as starter kits with even more added features and better reliability. They’re more advanced than starter kits, but they are much more expensive. The price of a starter kit ranges from $30-$100, but the price will vary depending on the brand of device you buy it from. Those high-end box mods can cost anywhere from $150-$300. A good starter kit will give you everything you need to get started vaping right away.
They’re even affordable in comparison to many box mods on the market today. Some of them can be pretty expensive, especially when it comes to popular brands (like Smok). On the other hand, you can buy very cheap box mods that don’t use good materials. For this reason, I suggest buying a starter kit.
I hope this article was helpful to some of your fellow new vapers out there! I’d also like to note that the type of vape you end up getting does not matter as much as you might think. They are all going to give you a very similar experience if you know what you’re doing. The only thing that matters is what your preferences are when it comes to vaping and what will work best for your needs.
