Why is there no airflow in my vape pen?
There was a question asked on Reddit a few years ago: “I am going to preface this with, I am brand new to vaping and this sub. I am having airflow problems with my vape pen. The battery and atomizer are both heating up, so I don’t think it’s a battery connection problem. I have cleaned the battery connections and the mouthpiece, and the mouthpiece is not clogged. But there is no air flow coming out of the mouthpiece when I try to use it, so I think it’s some sort of airflow issue with the atomizer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this?”
This is a common problem that many vapers experience and they are seeking answers. Look no further because today I’m here to answer these questions.
My dab pen cartridge has no airflow, what can I do?
You can do the following, take a small needle and poke it in the airflow holes this might help unclogged it again because it can be gunked up. You can also do some cleaning of your atomizer and the inside of your cartridge.
Okay after I surfed the internet a little bit, I could not find any helpful answers so here are some suggestions:
When cleaning the atomizer of your vape pen, you need the following:
- Some paper towels
- A toothpick a paper clip will also help.
Okay, now the first thing you need to do is take the paper towel and wipe the battery end of the atomizer to clean any of the liquid. Take the atomizer with you to your nearest sink. While you hold it over the sink put the battery end of the atomizer to your mouth and then blow. This will help any leftover liquid to be removed. 2 to 3 blows will most likely do the trick. Now take the paper towel again and wipe the atomizer.
The second step is to break the gunk
You will need another paper towel to wrap around something small that will fit into a tight space like a needle a paperclip or even a toothpick.
Now after you wrapped any of those three options, swipe it around the outer edges this will help to release the gunk that has built up on the bottom. To blow through the atomizer only gets rid of the loose liquid inside and not the liquid that has gunked up or is stuck. By using a toothpick or needle it will help release the liquid that could not be blown out.
Let us get to step 3, okay I know this is getting a bit tedious… but you are almost done.
Get a paper towel and lay it somewhere flat make sure it is in an area where it can’t be moved or harmed. You can now place your atomizer on the paper towel with the battery end up. This will help any remaining liquid to be drained out. You can leave it for an hour or for a full day to make sure that everything is out.
Why does my vape pen get clogged up?
It can be because of the following reasons:
- Overfilling
- If you have not used the device for quite some time
- If you leave the device in conditions where the liquid can change its consistency
- Or even just because you use it regularly.
By cleaning your vape pen at least once a week you will reduce the risk of clogging from happening. I hope you guys found this tips and tricks helpful. A clean vape is a happy vape!
